First Vice President crowns winners of QOC Ramadan Tournament 2024
DOHA - H.E Mr. Mohammed bin Yousef Al Mana, First Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) has crowned the winners of the beach volleyball competition for departments at the QOC Ramadan Tournament 2024 , which was concluded at the Lusail Shooting Range on Thursday.
At the tournament closing ceremony held on Thursday, H.E Mr. Mohammed bin Yousef Al Mana, First Vice President of QOC and Mr. Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari, the President of Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) crowned the top three winners in beach volleyball competition for departments , where sport events team claimed the first place, procurement team seized the second place and third place went to President Office team.
At Men’s padel medal ceremony , Sheikh Khalifa bin Khalid Al-Thani, the QOC’s Director of Sport Sector and Sheikh Fahad bin Khalid Al-Thani, the President of Qatar Boxing and Wrestling Federation (QBWF) have crowned the top three winners, the duo Ahmed Khaleel Al-Khaledi and Ahmed Yousef Al-Darwish claimed the first place, while the duo Mohammed Abdulsalam Abdalla & Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Balushi finished in the second place and third place went to the duo Adel Mohamed Al-Hashimi and Saud Adel Al-Hashimi.
The crowning moments continued as Sheikh Suhaim bin Mohamed Al Thani, the Advisor of QOC’s Sport Sector and Mr. Mishaal Ibrahim Al Nasr, the President of the Qatar Shooting & Archery Association (QSAA) crowned the winners of different shooting categories.
In the men’s air gun event, the duo, Abdulaziz Al-Balushi and Nasser Al-Mudahka won the first place, Abdulhadi Al-Shahwani and Khalifa Al Shahwani finished in the second place, while the third place went to Ali Al-Hamadi and Salim Abdullah Al Sadi, while in women’s air gun event, the duo, Nada Wafa and Najlaa Al-Khayareen claimed the first place, Noura Al-Balushi and Amna Murad seized the second place, while Amna Al-Ansari and Hind Al-Ebrahim took the third place. In In family air gun event, the duo, Abdullah Al-Naemi and Nasser Al-Naemi won the first place, Nasser Al-Mudahka and Sultan Al-Mudahka claimed the second place and the third place went to Najlaa Al-Khayareen and Haid Al-Khayareen.
By the end of coronation ceremony, Director of the QOC Support Services Sector , Mr. Hamad Lahdan Al- Mohannadi honored Qatar Shooting & Archery Association as site hosted the tournament , appreciated its logistics and technical services and also honored Naseem Medical Centre , as a tournament medical sponsor.
The tournament closing scene on Thursday was attended by a number of QOC officials, Directors of departments, Heads of sections , units and employees.
In this year, the QOC Ramadan Tournament has seen three key sport disciplines being organized, Beach Volleyball for departments, Shooting event (Shotgun + Air gun) for Men , Women and families and Padel Event-Doubles (Men).
By organizing this annual sport tournament, the QOC aims to promote true values of sports and Olympism and making Sport For All and Sport For Life applicable and sustainable.
