Intense Padel and Shooting Action Highlight Thursday at QOC Ramadan Tournament 2026

DOHA  – The men’s padel and women’s shooting competitions (singles and doubles) continued on Thursday evening as part of the Qatar Olympic Committee Ramadan Tournament 2026 for employees, taking place from 24 February to 5 March 2026 at the Lusail International Shooting Complex.

In the men’s padel event, the duo of Abdulaziz Ali Al Kuwari and Mohammed Ali Al Kuwari secured a 9-0  victory over Salah Al Sunaidi and Salem Abdulhalim in the opening match. In the second match, Hassan Zainal and Baher Al Ashmawi delivered an identical 9–0 win against Nasser Al Buraidi and Jaber Al Buraidi.

In the women’s singles shooting event, Amna Khalid Al Ansari (Sports Events Department) claimed first place, while Saeeda Mubarak Al Abdullah (Sports Events Department) secured the runner-up position. In the team (doubles ) shooting event, Saieeda Mubarak Al Abdullah and her daughter Reem Al Abdullah took first place, while Haya Al Dosari (Finance Department) and her sister Sharifa Al Dosari finished in second place.

The Organizing Committee expressed its sincere appreciation to the tournament sponsors, Al Jazeera Perfumes, Sports corner, Kiddy Zone, and Naseem Medical Center, emphasizing that their valuable contributions play a pivotal role in achieving the tournament’s objectives, enhancing its excellence, and fostering a vibrant sporting atmosphere filled with unity and goodwill during the holy month.

As part of its commitment to promoting health awareness, teams from the Qatar Diabetes Association and Naseem Medical Center continue to provide on-site blood sugar testing services, along with educational guidance on healthy nutrition, injury management, and emergency response, reinforcing the principle that prevention is better than cure. On 28 February, the Ihsan Center (Elderly Care) event will be held, followed by the event dedicated to people with disabilities from 2 to 5 March, reflecting a strong spirit of solidarity and community engagement.

The football competitions will take place from 28 February to 2 March, featuring teams representing the General Secretariat, the Shooting Federation, the Procurement and Logistics Department, the Public Relations Department, and the Sports Events Department. Beach volleyball competitions will follow from 3 to 5 March, with participation from the President’s Office, the Sports Events Department, the Procurement and Logistics Department, the Shooting Federation, the Public Relations Department, and the Sports Affairs Department.

The QOC remains committed to organizing this tournament annually as part of its social and sporting mission to raise awareness of the importance of sport and its positive impact, while promoting sound principles.
