This year’s tournament features five main sports: shooting, padel, beach volleyball, as well as table tennis and football, both introduced for the first time, reflecting the QOC’s commitment to innovation and broader participation.

The football competition, scheduled for 28 February to 2 March, will see teams representing the General Secretariat, the Shooting Federation, the Procurement and Logistics Department, the Public Relations Department, and the Sports Events Department. Meanwhile, beach volleyball events will take place from 3 to 5 of March, with participation from the President’s Office, the Sports Events Department, the Procurement and Logistics Department, the Shooting Federation, the Public Relations Department, and the Sports Affairs Department.

Following his participation in the padel competition, Mr. Adel Mohamed Al-Hashimi, Director of Procurement & Logistics Support Department at the QOC , extended his congratulations to all on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. He noted that Ramadan represents an annual opportunity for the QOC family to come together in a distinctive sporting atmosphere at the shooting complex, where competitions range from padel and beach volleyball to football, table tennis, and other activities. He emphasized that the true value of the tournament lies in fostering a positive environment built on dialogue, engagement, and shared sporting experiences.

The teams from the Qatar Diabetes Association and Naseem Medical Center continue to provide public blood sugar testing services, along with educational guidance on healthy nutrition, injury care, and emergency response, reinforcing the principle that “prevention is better than cure.”

Additionally, Center for Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ehsan) event will be held on 28 February, followed by the Special Needs program from 2 to 5 March, all within an environment designed to foster social solidarity and a spirit of participation among all attendees.

A total of 250 participants are taking part in this year’s edition. The inclusion of table tennis and football follows the results of an internal staff survey, aimed at broadening options and enabling everyone to choose a sport that aligns with their abilities and interests.

The QOC organizes this annual tournament as part of its social and sporting mission to promote awareness of the importance of sport and reinforce its core values. It also seeks to spread Olympic values and strengthen the concept of sport as a way of life for all, reaffirming its commitment to making sport an integral part of the community.
