Curtain comes down on Qatar Asian Junior Tournament

Doha: The competitions of the Qatar Asian Junior Tournament under 14 years were concluded at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex on Saturday. 

Yitian Lou of China claimed the title of boys’ singles event after beating Darsh Khedekar of India 6-2 6-4 in the final match. 

Hiu Lam Ella Wong of Hong Kong defeated Polina Sushkova of Kazakhstan 6-1 6-1 in the final match of girls’ single event 6-1 6-1 to claim the title. 

The Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation Secretary General Tariq Zainal congratulated the winners and stressed that the event comes in light of the federation’s strategy to develop tennis the state of Qatar.
