Darsh Khedekar wins Qatar Asian Junior Tournament

Doha: The competitions of the second Qatar Asian Junior Tournament under 14 years were concluded at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex on Saturday. 

Darsh Khedekar of India claimed the title of boys’ singles event after beating Nevan Kannangara of Sri Lanka 6-0 6-2 in the final match. 

Muslimakhon Turdimurodova of Uzbekistan edged past Aylara Kakabayeva 6-4 6-2 to win the title of girls’ singles event. 

The Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation Secretary General Tariq Zainal congratulated the winners and stressed that the event comes in light of the federation’s strategy to develop tennis the state of Qatar.
