MANAMA – Qatar’s volleyball team got better of Indonesia 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, and 25-17) to book place in the quarter-finals of the Asian Volleyball Challenge Cup in Manama, Bahrain, on Tuesday.
The tournament, which runs until June 10, serves as a qualifier for the Asian Volleyball Cup. Qatar finished second in the three-team Group C behind South Korea to ensure their qualification to the last eight.
The Qatari national team squad participating in the tournament includes 14 players, led by Argentine coach Camilo Soto.
They are set to meet on Thursday in the quarter-finals, leading the first group that includes the Bahrain, Philippines and China teams, whose matches will conclude this evening.
