Manama, June 7 (QNA) - The Qatari men's volleyball team will face its Kazakhstani counterparts on Saturday in the semi-finals of the fourth edition of the Asian Challenge Cup, which Bahrain is hosting until une 10, while the South Korean national team will meet its Pakistani counterpart in the same round.
The Qatari team qualified for the semi-finals after defeating the Chinese team in three games (25-19, 25-19, and 25-19) in the quarter-finals.
On the other hand, the Kazakhstan team qualified after defeating the Australian team by three games (21-15, 25-23, 25-18, and 25-21).
The Qatari team opened its matches in the group stage of this tournament against its South Korean counterpart, but lost at the beginning of its journey with (2 - 3) after a strong match.
Team Qatar ended the first round by defeating Indonesia 3/0 to qualify for the quarter-finals, after finishing in second place in the third group with 4 points behind the leading Korean team.
The Qatari national team participating in the tournament includes 14 players, led by Argentine coach Camilo Soto.
