Qatar to Play in Finale of 2024 AVC Challenge Cup for Men Tomorrow

MANAMA -(QNA) - The Qatar national volleyball team qualified to the finale of the 2024 Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Challenge Cup for Men, after defeating Kazakhstan in three sets to one a match held in Bahrain on Saturday.

The intense match saw Qatar succeed in winning its sets with scores of (25-16, 19-25, 25-19, 25-16).

Qatar will face the winner in today's match between South Korea and Pakistan in tomorrow's final.

As a result of Qatar's victory over Kazakhstan today, the team becomes ever-close to qualify to the AVC Challenge Cup, especially that the team secured second place in last year's edition held in Doha.

On other hand, Qatar’s duo Cherif Younis and Ahmed Tijan suffered  a 2-1 defeat at  the hands of  American counterparts to finish their campaign in second round of  the Czech Ostrava round, one of the Elite16 rounds, which is organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) for the men's and women's categories.
