Doha, March 22 (QNA) - The Qatar under-23 football team secured a 2-1 victory against its Thai counterpart on Saturday at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in the second round of the ongoing international friendly tournament in Doha.
This marks Qatar's first win in the tournament, following a 1-1 draw with Egypt. The team now sits at four points, boosting their chances of competing for the championship title.
This friendly tournament serves as vital preparation for the Qatar team ahead of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers, scheduled for September.
The tournament also includes Croatia, Egypt, Australia, and the UAE and will continue until March 25.
