Lausanne: Team Qatar have climbed to 20th place in the latest world rankings for national volleyball teams, according to the most recent update issued by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
This significant progress comes on the heels of the team's outstanding performance in the inaugural edition of the West Asia Men's Volleyball Championship, recently concluded in the Bahraini capital, Manama. Qatar secured the title after a thrilling 3-2 victory over hosts Bahrain in the final. As a result of this achievement, Qatar earned 166.45 points in the world rankings.
At the top of the rankings, Poland retained the number one position with 390.90 points, followed by Italy in second place with 377.26 points, and France in third with 353.60 points. Brazil came in fourth with 350.51 points.
