Qatar U-17 Handball Team clinches Bronze at Asian Championship

Amman – The Qatar U-17 Handball Team secured the bronze medal at the inaugural Asian U-17 Handball Championship in Amman, Jordan, earning qualification for the World Championship in Morocco.

In today’s third-place clash, Qatar defeated Bahrain 33-26, showcasing skill and determination. The team had topped Group B in the preliminary stage with four points from two wins, opening with a 38-24 victory over China and following with a 27-23 win against Saudi Arabia.

The tournament’s final, scheduled for later Thursday, will see South Korea face Iran, with both teams already confirmed to represent Asia at the first-ever World Youth (U-17) Handball Championship in Morocco, set from October 24 to November 1.
