FIVB Commends Qatar for Outstanding Organization of U18 Beach Volleyball World Championships

Doha: The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has lauded Qatar’s exceptional organization of the U18 Beach Volleyball World Championships (Doha 2025), describing the event as a model of excellence and innovation in international sports hosting.

Held for the first time in the Middle East, the tournament took place from October 7 to 11 at the Al Gharafa Beach Volleyball Courts, bringing together the world’s best young beach volleyball talents in a vibrant and competitive atmosphere.

In recognition of Qatar’s remarkable efforts, the FIVB presented a certificate of appreciation to the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) for its high organizational standards, impressive hospitality, and successful delivery of an event that showcased Qatar’s readiness to host major international tournaments.

The certificate, presented by FIVB President Fabio Azevedo, praised Qatar’s vision and professionalism, emphasizing that the smooth organization and welcoming atmosphere created an unforgettable experience for both athletes and fans. The FIVB also highlighted how Doha’s hosting contributed to promoting the sport globally, strengthening international connections, and enhancing the image of beach volleyball as a unifying and inspiring sport.

For his part, QVA President Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari expressed his pride in this international recognition, stressing that such achievements are made possible thanks to the support of Qatar’s wise leadership and the Qatar Olympic Committee, led by H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani.

Al Kuwari also praised the strong partnership between the QVA and the FIVB, noting that this honor represents a new milestone in Qatar’s distinguished record of hosting and organizing world-class sporting events, further reinforcing its position as a global hub for sport and excellence.
