China,– Qatar’s men’s junior handball team will face Iran on Sunday in a decisive Group Stage encounter at the 19th Asian Men’s Junior Handball Championship, currently being held in Chuzhou, China, from July 15 to 27.
The continental tournament also serves as a qualifying event for the 26th IHF Men’s Junior (U21) World Championship, scheduled to take place in North Macedonia.
Qatar head into the important fixture with renewed confidence following a valuable 29–25 victory over Japan in their third match, a result that helped the team bounce back after opening losses against South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
Manager of Qatar’s youth and junior national handball teams, Salem Mohammed Al Dosari, said that the squad is fully prepared for the challenge against Iran, stressing that the players are aware of the importance of this stage of the competition.
Al Dosari added that the team is determined to secure its second victory of the championship and continue building momentum as the tournament progresses.
