Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor draws its identity from the bayt al sha’ar, the traditional tent associated with Qatar’s Bedouin heritage. Its striped exterior, red seating bowl and Al Sadu-inspired details create a strong cultural character, while a retractable roof helps regulate temperature and enhance the atmosphere inside the venue. With a capacity of 60,000, the stadium hosted the opening ceremony and first match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as well as a semi-final. Its legacy plan includes dismantling the upper tier and donating seating to support sports infrastructure in developing countries.
