Al Shaqab is Qatar’s premier equestrian centre, founded in 1992 to preserve the Arabian horse breed and advance equestrian sport. Located within Qatar Foundation’s Education City campus, it includes the Longines Arena with indoor and outdoor competition facilities seating more than 3,200 spectators. The centre hosts CHI Al Shaqab and the Longines Global Champions Tour, bringing together leading riders in show jumping, dressage and para-dressage. Al Shaqab also operates breeding, training and equine education programmes and includes a visitor centre and museum celebrating Arabian horse heritage and Qatari culture.
