AICHI-NAGOYA, Japan – Qatar’s national padel team, represented by Rashid Nawaf and Mishari Nawaf, advanced to the quarter-finals of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 after defeating Kuwait 2-0 in their Round of 16 clash yesterday.
The Qatari duo produced a commanding performance, dominating the match from the outset and securing a convincing 6-1, 6-0 victory to book their place in the last eight.
Rashid and Mishari Nawaf displayed excellent coordination, composure and attacking quality throughout the encounter, giving Kuwait little opportunity to mount a comeback as they completed a comfortable straight-sets victory.
The Qatari pair will now turn their attention to the quarter-finals as they continue their campaign with their sights set on progressing deep into the competition and challenging for a place on the podium.
Rashid and Mishari Nawaf are among Asia’s leading padel players and will be looking to build on their impressive start as they pursue a medal at Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
