Doha – Team Qatar suffered their third consecutive defeat in Group A of the Gulf U17 Cup Qatar 2026, leaving them bottom of the standings without a point.
Qatar began their campaign with a 2-0 defeat to China on 16 October before suffering a narrow 1-0 loss to Bahrain on 19 October, following an own goal by Hamed Fadi in the first minute of stoppage time.
The national team continued their losing run on Sunday, 25 October, falling 2-0 to Oman in their fourth-round group-stage encounter.
Following these results, Qatar remain without a point after three matches, having failed to score a goal while conceding five.
The results have ended Qatar's hopes of progressing beyond the group stage, with the team sitting bottom of the standings. They will conclude their campaign against the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, 28 October, aiming to secure their first points of the tournament, which Qatar are hosting until 4 November.
