The Qatar Fencing Federation has built a strong competition and hosting platform since 2000, led by the annual Doha FIE Grand Prix in epee. Its youth results and World Combat Games medals show the impact of sustained investment in athlete development.
The federation governs foil, epee, and sabre, with development programmes linked to clubs, academies, and schools. This structure gives Qatari fencers regular access to training and competition pathways.
The Doha FIE Grand Prix has been staged since 2005, attracting 400 to 500 fencers from more than 50 countries each year. In 2025, Qatar’s junior team won 12 medals at the West Asian Championship, following four medals at the 2023 World Combat Games.
The federation’s next phase focuses on elite preparation, coaching development, and stronger female participation.
