The Qatar Gymnastics Federation has risen quickly since 2000, combining international administrative presence with major-event delivery. Its milestones include the 2018 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, the first in the Middle East, and the annual Doha World Cup.

Federation
Overview

The federation joined FIG in 2002 and has since built programmes across gymnastics disciplines while developing technical and organizational expertise. International hosting has played a central role in raising standards and visibility.

The 2018 World Championships at Aspire Academy gathered 360 gymnasts and marked the region’s first edition of the event. Ali Al-Hitmi’s role as FIG First Vice President further strengthens Qatar’s influence in global gymnastics governance.

The federation is expanding participation and preparing athletes for Asian-level finals and the Doha 2030 Asian Games.
