Qatar Olympic Academy Strengthens International Presence at 19th International Session for National Olympic Academies

Olympia: The Qatar Olympic Academy is participating in the 19th International Session for National Olympic Academies held at the premises of the International Olympic Academy in Olympia, Greece, with participation from more than 100 countries representing national Olympic academies and Olympic committees worldwide.

The Qatari delegation includes Khalil Ibrahim Al Jaber, Executive Director of the academy, and Halima Daham Al Harbi, Academic Expert, reflecting the academy’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and engagement within the international Olympic movement.

The delegation attended the opening ceremony of the session, which featured welcoming speeches delivered by Isidoros Kouvelos, who praised the vital role played by Olympic academies in promoting sporting values and advancing academic knowledge.

The delegation also participated in a key discussion session addressing inclusivity, integrity, and responsibility within the Olympic Games, where participants exchanged views on strengthening these values within an increasingly diverse and challenging global sports environment.

In addition, the Qatari delegation took part in several workshops and panel discussions focused on developing academic programmes, exchanging expertise in sports management, and enhancing the role of Olympic academies in supporting athletes and administrators alike.
