The Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation has turned Doha into a major global hub for racquet sports. Its portfolio includes elite tennis tournaments, repeated squash world championships, and landmark padel events hosted in Asia for the first time.

Federation
Overview

Established in 1984, the federation now oversees tennis, squash, badminton, and padel. The Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex provides the central base for year-round events, training, and international hosting.

The Qatar ExxonMobil Open and Qatar TotalEnergies Open anchor Doha’s tennis calendar, while the Qatar Classic and multiple Men’s Squash World Championships have sustained the city’s squash profile. Padel added a new chapter through the World Championships in 2021 and 2024.

The federation continues to position Qatar as a multi-racquet sport destination through elite hosting, talent development, and wider participation.
