Doha: Team Qatar have wrapped up their preparations ahead of competing in the 25th Asian Beach Volleyball Tour, which will take place in Thailand from Sunday through April 15.
Qatar will be represented by two teams, with the first pairing bringing together Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, while the second team features Mohammed Ehab and Mousa Al Khair, as part of efforts to strengthen Qatar’s presence and competitiveness on the continental stage.
The team delegation departed today for Thailand, where they will enter a training camp from April 16 to 19 following the conclusion of the tour, in preparation for the upcoming Asian Beach Games “Sanya,” scheduled to be held in China from April 22 to 30.
Mohammed Salem Al Kuwari, Board Member of the Qatar Volleyball Association and Head of the Beach Volleyball Committee, said that the team’s participation forms part of the federation’s ongoing plan to develop the sport and enhance players’ readiness for international competitions, with the aim of reinforcing Qatar’s presence at both continental and global levels.
