Riyadh – Team Qatar began their campaign at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games Riyadh 2025 with a determined performance against Turkey in the men’s volleyball competition.
Despite a strong effort and several bright moments, team Qatar fell to Turkey 3–1 in a competitive four-set match.
Turkey took the first set 25–20, before Qatar responded brilliantly to win the second 25–18. However, the Turkish side regained control in the next two sets, 25–16 and 25–20, to secure the victory.
Qatar’s players showed great teamwork, energy, and resilience, leaving a positive impression in their opening match. They will now look to bounce back stronger in their next game.
The team will return to the court on Thursday to face Iran at 7:00 PM, in what promises to be another exciting and challenging encounter.
