DOHA - The world's top-ranking Padel duo, Spaniard Arturo Coello and Argentine Agustin Tapia, expressed their immense happiness at winning the Ooredoo Qatar Major Premier Padel men's title for the second consecutive year.
In a post-game press conference Saturday, Coello said that this win constitutes a major personal milestone.
The Spanish player praised the organizing committee's excellent organization and warm hospitality throughout the tournament, adding that players have always received wonderful treatment in Qatar, something that is deeply appreciated by players, motivating them to give their best.
Coello said that the tournament has been challenging throughout, with the final match not being an exception to that, especially vis-a-vis a tough pair, something that necessitated the highest level of focus.
He expressed his belief that winning the title was thanks to performing at 100 percent.
For his part, Argentine Agustin Tapia expressed his immense joy for this victory, saying that it meant a lot to him, especially given how difficult the tournament was.
Tapia said that the Ooredoo Qatar Major Premier Padel is one of the best on the world tour, in terms of organization, fan turnout, Padel court quality, and all services provided.
He added that playing in Qatar feels like being in an ideal, motivating environment that brings out a player's best.
