Doha – The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Ramadan Tournament 2025 continues to showcase thrilling performances, as employees and their families shine in individual and team shooting competitions. Held at the Lusail Shooting Complex from March 9 to 18, the event has been marked by intense rivalry and high-level precision.
In the women's category on Monday , Noora Al-Rahma dominated both the individual shotgun and air rifle events, while Amina Khalid secured the runner-up position. In the team (families – women) competition, Amna Murad and Roqaiya Murad claimed first place, with Fajar Abdulmohsen and Manal Saad finishing second.
Meanwhile, the men’s volleyball competition is set to get underway next Wednesday, featuring a group-stage format with defending champions, the Sports Events Department, vying for another title.
Mr. Mana Ahmed Al-Jaal, Director of the QOC Ramadan Tournament, emphasized the significance of the event, stating: "This tournament has become a cherished annual tradition, offering employees and their families a platform to engage in sports, foster social bonds, and embrace a healthy lifestyle during Ramadan."
Similarly, Abdullah Al-Harami, Head of the Technical Committee, highlighted the benefits of shooting sports for women, noting: "Shooting enhances self-confidence, sharpens focus, and cultivates mental clarity, decision-making skills, and overall vitality."
Organized in collaboration with various sports federations and institutions, the QOC Ramadan Tournament reinforces the QOC’s commitment to promoting "Sports for All" and "Sports for Life," ensuring that sports remain a vital part of the community’s culture.
