DOHA – The Qatar Olympic Committee’s Legal Affairs Department continues to promote legal awareness and compliance in the sports sector. On February 25, 2025, the department held a key meeting with representatives from Qatari sports federations and committees to enhance their legal knowledge and ensure adherence to local and international laws.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Noah Al Thani, Director of the Legal Affairs Department, highlighted that his team provides expert legal guidance to all administrative units within the Qatar Olympic Committee. A structured framework has been set up to streamline responsibilities, extending legal support to sports federations and committees. In line with this, His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee issued Circular No. (5) of 2023, facilitating direct legal coordination with these entities.
Recognizing the growing importance of compliance, the Qatar Olympic Committee's leadership is committed to upholding good governance in sports institutions. Their goal is to strengthen adherence to legal frameworks, ensuring that regulations and policies align with global standards.
