Doha: The Qatari national football team concluded Sunday their preparations in Doha ahead of their match against Kuwaiti on Tuesday at the Ali Sabah Al Salem Stadium, as part of the fourth round of the joint qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.
The Qatari national team lead the group with 9 points after defeating Kuwait 3-0, Afghanistan 8-1 in Doha, and India 3-0 away.
The Qatari team had their final training session on Sunday under the leadership of the Spanish coach Bartolome Marquez Lopez before heading to Kuwait on Monday.
The coaching staff of the Qatari team focused on tactical aspects and strategic plans during the training sessions, with all players present except for midfielder Abdulaziz Hatem, who will be sidelined for about six weeks due to injury.
The Qatari national team coach acknowledges the difficulty of the match against Kuwait, given the latter's desire to make up for the loss on home soil. However, he reaffirmed his team's commitment to continue working towards achieving more victories.
The Asian Cup champions will conclude their preparations for the match with a training session on Monday at the match venue in the Kuwaiti capital.
