DOHA - (QNA) – The third edition of the Qatar Asian Junior Tennis Championship concluded after a week of intense competition, hosted by the Qatar Tennis Federation. The tournament featured 100 male and female players.
In the girls' singles final, Turkmen athlete Ilima Guseynova claimed the title with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory over her compatriot Aynur Annamyradova. Guseynova also triumphed in the girls' doubles category alongside Aylara Kakabayeva, defeating fellow Turkmen players Annamyradova and Sulgun Ishangulyyeva 6-2, 6-2.
In the boys' doubles, the Turkmen duo of Yunus Annamyradov and Ali Geldiyev secured first place by overcoming Brazilian Daniel Carvalho Becker and Serbian Andrei Rakic 6-3, 6-1. Ali Geldiyev also won the boys' singles title after defeating compatriot Suleyman Hudayberdiyev in a hard-fought match, 6-7, 6-0, 7-5.
The awarding ceremony was led by Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation Tariq Zainal and attended by a group of enthusiastic tennis fans.
