Qatar line up for Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship

Amman, September 15, 2018- The Qatari men's youth handball team will take on UAE on Sunday in the beginning of their campaign at the 2018 Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship to be held in Amman, Jordan.

14 teams divided into four groups will take part in the eighth edition of the Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship. Qatar has been drawn in Group D with Japan, UAE and Iran, while the first group includes Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, China and Oman, and the second group includes Jordan, Taipei and Syria and the third group South Korea, Iraq and India.

Qatar men's youth handball team will play against Iran on Monday (September 17) and play their third match against Japan on Tuesday (September 18).

The first and second team of each group will qualify for the main round in which the eight teams will be divided into two groups of four teams in each group, with the first and second qualifying to the semi-finals.

Qatar men's youth handball delegation left Doha yesterday with 17 handball players in preparation for the Asian Event.
