Qatar Olympic Committee organizes Workshop on Digital Transformation in Sports Institutions

DOHA – As part of its ongoing commitment to developing human capital and keeping pace with the latest technological advancements, the Training Unit of the Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Department at the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) organized a workshop entitled “Digital Transformation in Sports Institutions at the Lusail Hall in the QOC headquarters on Monday.

The workshop brought together 37 employees from various units, departments, and divisions of the QOC , in an initiative aimed at fostering a culture of institutional transformation and enhancing digital competencies in alignment with the QOC’s strategic vision.

The keynote speaker and technical expert, Mr. Ali Yassin  explored a range of key topics, including an introduction to digital transformation and its vital role in shaping modern institutional work environments. Mr. Yassin delved into core technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cloud computing, alongside essential skills for leading digital projects and cultivating leadership mindsets capable of navigating challenges and driving innovation.

The workshop also featured practical case studies of successful digital transformation initiatives, adding a dynamic and interactive dimension to the learning experience.
This session is part of a broader series of training programs designed to build the capacity of QOC staff and directly supports the QOC’s strategic objective of creating an ideal environment for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent and expertise.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Mr. Ebrahim Addulla Al-Maraghi, Assistant Director of the Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Department, presented a commemorative shield to Mr. Ali Yassin, in recognition of his valuable contributions to the workshop’s success and the depth of knowledge he imparted.
