DOHA - Team Qatar young wrestlers returned home on Saturday, after showing an impressive performance and won four medals in Arab U15 & U20 Wrestling Tournament 2024 , which took place from 2nd to 6th of July in Algeria.
Qatar’s new wrestling stars got a warm reception by Sheikh Fahad bin Khalid Al-Thani, the President of Qatar Boxing and Wrestling Federation and QBWF board members upon arrival at the Hamad International Airport on Saturday.
Team Qatar wrestlers produced a solid performance to claim four medals, Saud Borak Al-Mofqae seized the silver medal in the 79kg freestyle wrestling U20, Essa Nasser Al-Ali claimed bronze in the 48kg freestyle wrestling U15 while Saad Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti won double bronze in the 82kg freestyle wrestling U20 and the 86kg Greco-Roman wrestling U20.
Team Qatar delegation to Arab Tournament was consisted of head coach Jaffar Mosem Khan and wrestlers, Saad Ibrahim and Saud Borak Al-Mofqae in (U20 category) and Essa Nasser Al-Ali in (U15 category ).
The tournament brought together 165 wrestlers (male and female) from eight countries, including Tunisia, Egypt, Syria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Jordan and hosts Algeria.
