DOHA – The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) has organized a three - day working visit to the Headquarters of Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) on the 9th , 10th and 11th of October to exchange experience & knowledge with the CBQ counterparts under the supervision of the QOC HR Department.
In the start of the visit, the employees received a brief presentation on CBQ history of foundation in 1975, stages of development , strategies, policies, organizational chart, CBQ services, social responsibility and programs in health and environment.
Visiting staff have shared experience and exchanged creative knowledge on HR key issues, namely recruitment and selection, employee onboarding and orientation, training and development, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, HR Analytics, HR governance, HR Technology and systems.
A number of vital topics have been discussed by both teams , including , branding, marketing sponsorship, events, PR, social medial, as well as internal audit plans, internal audit methodology and internal audit department responsibilities.
On day 2 and day 3, the QOC visiting employees were distributed into groups to tour the CBQ’s departments, sections and units to know about work process in each section. This visit helps All-out sustainable development to be applicable and enhances cooperation between the QOC and the CBQ.
Director of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Department, Mrs. Maryam Mohammed Al-Kuwari said we are truly happy to keep our efforts active to enhance Qatari employee’s experience and build up his/her professional skills to be able to manage all human, financial, logistics and administrative resources in our organisation”.
“ Our team visit to Commercial Bank of Qatar came after a two-day productive visit we had to Hamad Bin Khalifa University, where QOC and HBKU teams exchanged experience on some vital topics, strategic plan development, strategic management framework, integrated annual planning process and, annual performance process and risk assessment and management.” She added.
Most notably, the objectives of this visit come in tune with the strategic goal of the QOC’s Human Resources & Administrative Services Department :” Create an attractive and an ideal working environment for better talents and experiences”.
