Qatar's Rashed Nawaf and Mousa Shanan qualified to the quarterfinals of the 4th Qatar Men's ITF World Tennis Tour organized by the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) in cooperation with International Tennis Federation (ITF) at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
The event brings together 32 players in singles event and 16 teams in doubles event.
The Qatari duo made it to the quarterfinals after beating Romania's Andrei Cuceu and India's Tushar Sharma 2-0.
In the quarterfinals, Nawaf and Shanan will take on Russia's Egor Agafonov and Marat Sharipov.
In singles event, Marek Gengel of Czech Republic qualified to the quarterfinals after his 2-0 victory over Paul Woerner of Germany while Russia's Alexey Zakharov edged past his compatriot Bogdan Bobrov to reach the quarterfinals.
The ITF Men's World Tennis Tour serves as the entry level for professional tennis as the results of ITF tournaments are incorporated into the ATP Ranking, which enables professionals to progress to the ATP Challenger Tour and, ultimately, the ATP Tour.
