Doha – The Secretariat-General Office and the Procurement & Logistics Support teams have officially booked their places in the beach volleyball semifinals after securing crucial victories on Thursday. These matches are part of the Qatar Olympic Committee Ramadan Tournament 2025, which is taking place from March 9 to 18 at the Lusail Shooting Complex.
The Procurement & Logistics Support team claimed back-to-back 2-0 victories, first against the Human Resources & Administrative Affairs team and then against the Secretariat-General Office team. Meanwhile, the Secretariat-General Office team secured the runner-up spot in Group B after defeating the Human Resources & Administrative Affairs team with a 2-0 win.
The stage is set for a thrilling semifinal showdown on Saturday, March 15, as high-stakes encounters will determine the finalists. The first semifinal will see the President’s Office team face off against the Procurement & Logistics Support team at 9:00 PM. Meanwhile, the second semifinal will kick off at 9:40 PM, featuring a clash between the Secretariat-General Office team and Sports Events Department team.
All beach volleyball matches in the Qatar Olympic Committee Ramadan Tournament are hosted at the Lusail Shooting Complex. The competition features six teams competing in a group-stage format, divided into two groups. Group A includes the Sports Events Department team (defending champions), the President’s Office team, and the Sports Affairs Department. Group B consists of the Procurement & Logistics Support team, the Secretariat-General Office team, and the Human Resources & Administrative Affairs team.
The padel competition for Qatar Olympic Committee employees will kick off on Sunday evening, with their families participating in some accompanying sports and recreational activities.
The QOC Ramadan Tournament hosts six elite teams in beach volleyball, alongside gripping shooting and padel competitions. Beyond the intense matches, families can enjoy a vibrant lineup of cultural and entertainment activities, making this event a true celebration of sportsmanship and community spirit.
