Sheikh Joaan Crowns Al Shamal Champions of Arab Super Cup
DOHA, - HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani on Tuesday crowned Al Shamal team champions of the third Arab Super Cup for handball 2021 after defeating Al Gharafa 23-22 in the Qatari affairs final held at Duhail Sports Hall.
At the victory ceremony , HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani awarded the championship cup to the Al Shamal Captain Abdullah Hafiz, as IHF President Hassan Mostafa handed over the gold medals to Al Shamal players and the silver medals to Al Gharafa players.
During the halftime break , HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani and Mr. Mohammed Al Monea , the President of Arab Handball Association have mutually exchanged the Souvenir shields with the attendance of Mr. Ahmed Al Shaabi, the president of Qatar Handball Association .
It is worth mentioning that , Al Shamal was crowned champion of the 15th Arab Handball Championship for Cup winners, which was held in Tunisia last year. Al Shamal beat Al Arabi in the final 33-31.
