Team Qatar Athletes Maintain Lead in GCC Games Medal Standings with 109 Medals

Doha:  Qatar continued to lead the overall medal standings at the conclusion of the sixth day of competitions at the 4th GCC Games Doha 2026, currently taking place in Doha and continuing until May 22.

Qatar’s medal tally has now reached 109 medals, including 39 gold, 38 silver, and 32 bronze medals. Team Qatar added 13 medals today — including three gold, six silver, and four bronze medals — in athletics, bowling, and table tennis competitions.

Saudi Arabia ranked second with 61 medals, including 24 gold, 19 silver, and 18 bronze medals, while Bahrain came third with 54 medals, including 22 gold, 20 silver, and 12 bronze medals.

Oman maintained fourth place after increasing their tally to 25 medals, including 10 gold, four silver, and 11 bronze medals, while the UAE ranked fifth with 44 medals, including eight gold, 15 silver, and 21 bronze medals.

Kuwait came sixth with 41 medals, including seven gold, 12 silver, and 22 bronze medals.

The 4th GCC Games will continue tomorrow, Monday, on the seventh day of competition, featuring events in snooker, padel, volleyball, and handball.
