Sheikh Joaan crowns winners of Nishan Vodafone Shooting Tournament
Doha- H.E President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani crowned the winners of Nishan Vodafone Shooting Tournament held at the Lusail International Shooting Complex for the last 10 days.
The event brought together more than 500 shooters who participated in Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Archery competitions.
The medal ceremony was attended by H.E QOC Secretary General Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain and H.E QOC Second Vice President Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari.
The program of event also included a huge number of sports and entertainment activities for women and kids at the Lusail Shooting Complex.
On the other hand, H.E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani also crowned the winners of QOC Employees Ramadan Beach Volleyball and Padel Tournaments held on the sidelines of Nishan Vodafone Tournament.
Team Qatar line up for Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship
Doha: The Qatar Handball Association (QHA) announced the line-up of Qatar's national team to participate in Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship to be held in Bahrain next August.
The Qatari squad included Khaid Rashid, Mohamed Mahmoud, Jassim Omran, Mohamed Jamal , Malik Faisal, Philip Daniel, Abdullah Al Najdi, Osama Al Gharbawi, Mohamed Ashraf, Ghanim Al Ghanim, Saif Al Turky, Jassim Al Mohannadi, Ali Salim Al Madhous, Yousef Al Najjar, Nawaf Al Hitmi, Sultan Ali Madadi, Saif Ahmed Saleh, Mohamed Khalid, Mohamed Al Mohannadi, Mohedin Mamdouh, Mohamed Abdulraziq and Moaz Khalid Al Jeroudi.
It's worth mentioning that team Qatar claimed the title of this event two times in 2010 and 2012.
Nishan Vodafone Ramadan Tournament to conclude on Wednesday
DOHA – Curtains will come down on the prestigious fourth edition of 2022 Nishan Vodafone Ramadan Tournament at the Lusail Shooting Range on Wednesday.
This community tournament is organized under the patronage of the H.E Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani from 3rd to 19th of April, with the participation of more than 500 competitors in both the amateur and professional categories.
Tuesday’s competition have seen a turning point in the Men’s professional category standings, Qatar’s Khalifa Ali Mohammed Abdalla Al Attiyah hit a perfect Archery to jump up to the first place with ( 659 points), as his teammates Mohammed Ahmed Al Rumaihi rolled back to the second place (642 points) and Masoud Ali Al Ezbah stepped back to the third place ( 641 points).
In the women archery professional event, Reem Al Sharshani jumped up again to the first place ( 638 points), Mona Naser Fraj Al Nubi finished in the second place (612 points) and the third place went to Sarah Gholam Ali (515 points).
In the men archery amateur event, Badr Mubarak Al Mari has retained his top spot in the standings with ( 606 points), Hernan Fernandez moved up to ( second place with 601 points) and the third place went to Masoud Ali Al Ezbah ( 597 points).
In the women archery amateur event, the standings has completed changed , where Ghada Ali Al Ghamdi jumped up to the top with ( 432 points), Enad Ibrahim Al Faouri finished in the second place (420 points) and Ahlam Mazen Abdulatif rolled back to the third place (391 points).
Tournament director and Assistant Secretary General of Qatar Shooting and Archery Association Mr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Tamimi said , this year edition set a new record in terms of participants whose number reached 500 competitors as the technical performance hit the highest levels.
“ We are very grateful to give a letter of thanks to all supporters and sponsors, including Vodafone, Blue Salon, Mazzraty, Al-Rami Sport Club (Sport Shooting Club) and Qatar Voluntary Center, who left no stone unturned to make this tournament successful and exceptional” added Mr. Al Tamimi.
This tournament aims to discover the most talented elements in the game , develop their skills and helping clubs and national teams to achieve quantum leap in the game and promoting this sport among citizens and residents whose rate of participation in the game rises sharply year by year.
Team Qatar stars show high Shotgun skills at Nishan Tournament
DOHA – Team Qatar members have shown high shooting skills in the closing scene of the shotgun event of the ongoing fourth edition of 2022 Nishan Vodafone Ramadan Tournament held at the Lusail Shooting Range on Sunday.

In Sunday’s shogun closing scene, Qatar’s shooter, Mohammed Ahmed Al Rumaihi has retained his place at the top of the standings with a tally of (528 points ) , ahead of his teammates, Khalifa Ali Mohammed Abdalla Al Attiyiah in the second place (489 points) and Masaoud Saleh Al Ezbah in the third place (487 points).
In the women professional category (shotgun event), team Qatar star, Reem Al Sharshani led the standings with (488 points), Sara Gholam Ali snatched the runner-up spot (467 points ) , while the third place went to Amna Ali Al Sheerawai (449 points).
In the shogun event for men’s amateur, Bar Kifah Al Yousef claimed the first place with ( 445 points), Rashid Ghanem Al Hajiri finished in second place ( 444 points) and Hernan Fernandez clinched the third place (439 points).
No change is seen in the women’s amateur standings (shogun event), Mona Naser Faraj Al Nubi leads the standings with ( 426 points), Maha Saieed Abdulhai in the second place ( 410 points) and the third place went to Aysha Abdulhai (407 points).

Team Qatar Archers perform impressively at Nishan Tournament
DOHA – Team Qatar stars have shone again in the Archery event of the fourth edition of 2022 Nishan Vodafone Ramadan Tournament held at the Lusail Shooting Range on Monday.
This community tournament is organized under the patronage of the H.E Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani from 3rd to 19th of April, with the participation of more than 500 competitors in both the amateur and professional categories.
In Monday’s Archery competitions for professional category (Men) , Qatar’s Mohammed Ahmed Al Rumaihi has cemented his grip on the top of the standings after lifting up his tally to (642 points ) , as his teammate Masaoud Saleh Al Ezbah jumped up to the second place with (641 points), while the third place went to Rashid Masoud Al Ezbah with ( 619 points).
On the same track of impressive performance, Qatar’s Kholud Hassan Khalaf jumped up to the top spot of the standings of the Archery event for professional women with ( 497 points), as Reem Al Sharshani rolled back to the second place ( 488 points) and the third place went to Ameena Mohammed Al Mansouri ( 471 points).
In the Men’s amateur category, Qatar’s Badr Mubarak Al Marri won the first place in the Archery with (606 points), as Ali Saieed Al Marri snatched the second place (552 points) and Hamad Mohammed Saleh Al Karbi finished third ( 552 points).
In the women’s amateur category, Ahlam Mazen Abdulatif finished first with ( 391 points), Sabreen Hassan Saadoun claimed the second place ( 364 points) and the third place went to Hala Al Heiti ( 355 points).

Doha: The competitions of Nishan Vodafone Tournament and Festival continued in style at the Lusail International Shooting Complex with participation of 500 shooters.
This community tournament is organized under the patronage of the H.E Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani from 3rd to 19th of April, with the participation of more than 500 competitors in both the amateur and professional events.
Mohammed Ahmed Al Rumaihi led the standings of Men's Professional Shotgun event with 528 points ahead of Khalifa Mohamed Abdullah Al-Attiyah in the second place with 489 points while Msaoud Saleh Al Athba took the third place with 467 points.
In the women professional shotgun event, team Qatar star, Reem Al Sharshani took the first place with 488 points while Sarah Gholam and Amna Ali Al Shabrawi settled in the second and third places respectively.
On the other hand, Badr Kefah Al Yousef led the standings of Men's amateur shotgun event with 445 points ahead of Rashid Ghanim Al Hajiri in the second place while Hernan Fernandez took the third places.
In the women’s amateur event, Ghada Al Ghamdi, Aysha Al Sada and Enad Ibrahim Al Faoudi occupied the top three places respectively.
