Overview

Established in 2006, the federation oversees training, domestic competitions, and national teams in both boxing and wrestling. Its early momentum came when Qatari wrestlers won two bronze medals at the Doha Asian Games in the same year.

Qatar hosted the 2015 World Boxing Championships and sent two boxers to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Dana Al Jabr added a new chapter for women’s boxing as the first Qatari female boxer at the 2023 Arab Games.

The federation’s immediate objective is to build stable teams and widen the athlete base ahead of Doha 2030.
