QatarAquatics Federation
The Qatar Aquatics Federation oversees a broad aquatics programme and reached a major organizational milestone by hosting the 2024 World Aquatics Championships, the first edition in the Middle East. Its work also includes short-course worlds, World Cup stops, and age-group development.

Overview
Established in 1993, the federation covers swimming, diving, water polo, artistic swimming, open water, and lifesaving. Hamad Aquatic Centre and the Aspire Zone provide the main platform for training and major events.
The 2024 World Aquatics Championships brought more than 2,600 athletes from 201 countries to Doha, following earlier hosting of the 2014 Short Course World Championships and repeated Swimming World Cup events.
The federation is now focused on developing swimmers and water polo players, expanding grassroots participation, and preparing teams for the Doha 2030 Asian Games.
