LONDON – Qatar’s sprint hurdler Abderrahman Samba delivered an impressive performance at the London Diamond League, securing third place in the men’s 400m hurdles at the 11th meeting of the 2026 season.
Samba crossed the finish line in 48.10 seconds, finishing behind Germany’s Emil Agyekum, who claimed second place in 47.45 seconds, while Norway’s Karsten Warholm stormed to victory with a world-leading time of 46.61 seconds.
The London event marked Samba’s second Diamond League appearance of the season, following his opening-season outing in Xiamen, where he produced his season-best performance of 47.93 seconds.
With another valuable podium finish added to his campaign, the Qatari star remains firmly in contention for the prestigious Diamond Trophy, with the remaining decisive meetings scheduled to take place in Silesia, Zurich, and Brussels in September.
