The Sports Excellence Awards are an annual Qatar Olympic Committee event recognising athletes, teams, coaches, administrators, referees, sports organisations, partners and individuals whose work has contributed to Qatari sport and the Olympic Movement.

The Schools Olympic Program is a national school-sport initiative organised by the Qatar Olympic Committee in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Qatar School Sports Federation and the Qatar Paralympic Committee.

Aim Beyond is an international sports-development project launched by the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) in December 2025 in partnership with World Athletics and the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD). The project uses athletics infrastructure as a practical tool to expand access to sport for young people and underserved communities.

Qatar’s National Sport Day is held annually on the second Tuesday of February. It was adopted following an Amiri decree issued in 2011, and the first edition took place in 2012. Qatar is among the few countries to designate a paid national holiday specifically for sport and physical activity.
