Doha: men’s volleyball team will face Bahrain tomorrow, Tuesday, in a highly anticipated clash in the third and final round of the 4th GCC Games Doha 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at Aspire Sports Hall.
Team Qatar have already secured at least one medal in the competition after recording their second consecutive victory with a straight-sets win over Oman.
The Qatari team are aiming to finish in first place and claim the gold medal for the second time in their history at the GCC Games, with the decisive encounter against Bahrain set to determine the gold medal winners, while the losing side will receive silver.
Team Qatar and Bahrain currently share top spot in the standings with six points each following the conclusion of the second round of the competition, which features four teams competing in a single round-robin format. Meanwhile, the UAE and Oman remain without points.
The third round will also feature another match between the UAE and Oman at 4:00 p.m. to determine third place and the bronze medal.
Team Qatar had previously won the gold medal at the third edition of the GCC Games held in Kuwait in 2022 after defeating the UAE in straight sets, while Bahrain had won gold in the first and second editions of the Games.
