Doha: The organizing committee of the Doha Diamond League announced on Sunday that the event will bring together 154 male and female Olympic and world medalists, who will compete in 14 disciplines on the field and track at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium on Friday.
The organizing committee, headed by President of the Qatar Athletics Federation Mohamed Issa Al Fadala said in a statement that the Qatar's Abderrahman Samba will participate in the 400-meter hurdles race after missing the Diamond League rounds for three seasons due to injury.
Abderrahman Samba, ranked among the top five players in the history of the 400-meter hurdles, will face an elite of competitors, most notably Brazilian Alison Dos Santos, the 2022 world champion in Eugene, USA.
Abderrahman Samba's participation in the round comes after his return and winning the gold medal in the Asian Games in China last October. The round will also represent an opportunity for him prepare before participating in the Summer Olympic Games (Paris 2024).
