DOHA – The Qatar Athletics Federation (QAF) has announced a six-member national team that will represent the country at the World Athletics U20 Championships, scheduled to take place in Oregon, USA, from August 5 to 9.
The squad features four field athletes: Abdullah Al Abdullah (Pole Vault), Abdulrahman Al Malki (High Jump), Abdulrahman Ibrahim (Hammer Throw), and Hamad Dawi (Discus Throw). They will be joined by two track athletes: Yusuf Abdulaziz in the 400 metres and Mohammed Waheed in the 1,500 metres.
QAF confirmed that the team's preparations have been successfully completed, with the athletes aiming to deliver strong performances, achieve the best possible results, and build on the continued success of Qatari athletics on the international stage.
As part of its preparations, the federation organized overseas training camps across Europe and Africa in recent months, providing the athletes with high-level training and competitive exposure to enhance their readiness for the championship and strengthen their prospects of securing podium finishes.
